Battery Compliance Certification

The CTIA Certification program for battery compliance is at the forefront of ensuring mobile device batteries are high quality and reliable. The program permits operators and their suppliers to validate a lithium ion battery’s compliance with the IEEE Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Cellular Telephones (IEEE Std 1725™) and the IEEE Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Multi-Cell Mobile Computing Devices (IEEE Std 1625™).

Over-the-Air Performance Testing

CTIA Certification has developed the standard for over-the-air (OTA) performance testing of wireless devices. Our test plans accurately measure the expected performance of a wireless device over cellular networks before the device is brought to market. Network operators throughout the world rely on this program to ensure devices operating on their networks will meet the performance expectations demanded by consumers and businesses.

IoT Cybersecurity Certification

CTIA Certification manages a cybersecurity certification program for Internet of Things (IoT) devices that establishes an industry baseline for device security on wireless networks. The program protects consumers and wireless infrastructure, while also creating a more secure foundation for smart cities, connected cars, and other IoT applications.

PTCRB Certification

Since 1997, the PTCRB certification program has been providing confidence of device interoperability on global wireless networks. The program supports 4G and 5G enabled devices of all types.

Working Groups

CTIA Certification working groups are the foundation of our certification programs. This global network of operators, service providers, device manufacturers, test labs, and many others, solve industry challenges, enable new efficiencies, and hold the wireless industry to the highest standard.
