Industry-driven certification helps protect consumers and businesses
WISE Certification, an industry-led certification program for retailers and technicians performing phone repair, announced a major milestone crossed with over 10,000 mobile repair technicians across North America.
WISE, which stands for Wireless Industry Service Excellence, launched the WISE Technician Certification program in 2019 to educate and test wireless device repair technicians on industry-recognized standards. WISE-certified device repair technicians meet the highest standard for service quality and technical skill. The first certification of its kind, certified repair technicians provide consumers with a predictable, high-quality repair experience across a network of over 1,600 certified retail locations.
WISE Certification was created by the CTIA Certification Reverse Logistics and Service Quality (RLSQ) Program. The RLSQ Program convenes members representing the entire reverse logistics community to address the wireless industry’s challenges, set certification standards for technicians, establish common device grading definitions and methodology, and develop requirements for both service facilities and retailers performing device repair.
This achievement recognizes repair professionals serving customers who seek trusted repair providers for mobile devices. Smartphones continue to be the remote control to our lives, and having trusted technicians keeping us connected is critical. When seeking repair services at WISE-certified retail locations, consumers can be more confident their technician has met the requirements established by wireless industry subject matter experts.
